[09-11-30] Cambridge IV 2009
Despite some late withdrawals due to illness and lack of visa, Jacobs University Debating Society was represented at Cambridge IV 2009 with one team. Frank Richter '12 and Jakob Hensing '10 ranked in the midfield of the tab, which was a satisfacory achievement given that the two speakers had never before debated together.
After an emotional and dynamic final marked by the decision of the closing proposition to extend their policy instead of their arguments, the tournament was won by Jonathan Leader Maynard and Shengwu Li from Oxford University.
